PRIVACY POLICY

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you visit our site but only due to the nature of how browsers register information about a visitor to any given web site.  We do not actively collect and store user information about visitors to our site.  We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone nor use this information to further solicit support to our cause or any other cause related to our fundraiser.  We may use contact information to send a letter of acknowledgement of receipt of your donation and return a "thank you" email for your use to claim a tax deduction for your contribution to our cause.

SECURITY POLICY

Your payment and personal information are always safe. We utilize PayPal for the processing of your donations.  For more information see the PayPal privacy policy for more information.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF CONTRIBUTION POLICY

If you provide an email address when you make your donation, we will send you an email thanking you for your contribution and participation in our fundraiser.  Because we are a registered non-profit organization, you may use this email to file for a tax deduction for the year you made the donation.

REFUND POLICY

Your generous contribution to the Decatur Lake Mill Race Association (DLMRA) supports year-round programs and initiatives. As good stewards of your donations, we follow clear guidelines in processing your gifts.

GIFT POLICY STANDARDS

All donations to the DLMRA support projects to improve the water quality of our watershed, support accessibility to our waterways, develop wildlife habitat and better our community.  We will carefully consider the needs of the organization and will use your gift where we determine it is most needed, so that all donations may directly and indirectly support the DLMRA or its partners in achieving our goals.

The DLMRA will not accept any restrictions on use of donations less than $10,000.  If the DLMRA cannot honor a donor's designation request for a gift of $10,000 or more, the gift will be forwarded to an appropriate partner that is more compatible with the donor's request or returned to the donor.  Third parties to a donation may not change the original designation of a gift. The DLMRA may refuse any gift that does not sufficiently benefit the organization, is in conflict with the DLMRA mission, puts the reputation of the DLMRA at risk or is prohibited by law.

Refunds are available up to 15 days after a donation is processed.  Please allow up to 90 days for the refund to be processed.

DONATION REFUND POLICY

If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to DLMRA, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.

To request a refund, please email donate@pearlislandamerica.org . Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
